PRIVACY POLICY
Last Modified: September 6, 2026
1. Introduction
Unmixr AI, LLC (“Unmixr”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) operates unmixr.com and the Unmixr web application and API (together, the “Service”) — an AI platform for text-to-speech, voiceover, dubbing, transcription, translation, and related content creation.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it. It applies to visitors of our website and to registered users of the Service. Our Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Service and, together with this Privacy Policy, form your agreement with us.
For the purposes of the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Unmixr AI, LLC is the data controller of the personal data described in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
Account information.
When you create an account we collect your name, email address, and a password (stored only in hashed form). If you sign up or sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google; we never see your Google password.
Billing information.
We keep records of your plan, subscription status, credit balance, and transaction history. Payment card details are provided by you directly to our payment processor (Stripe) and are never stored on our servers. If you pay via bKash, we collect the bKash account number you provide to verify your payment. If you purchased through a partner marketplace such as AppSumo, we receive your purchase code and the email associated with the purchase.
Content you provide and create.
The core of the Service is processing content you give us. Depending on the features you use, this includes: text and scripts you write or import; documents, images, audio, and video files you upload; and the outputs the Service generates for you, such as synthesized speech, dubbed audio and video, transcripts, and translations. Your content may incidentally contain personal data about you or others; you are responsible for having the right to upload it.
Voice data and voice cloning (sensitive data).
If you use voice cloning, we collect the voice recordings you submit and create a digital voice profile from them. Voice recordings that identify a person can be biometric or otherwise sensitive data under laws such as the GDPR and certain U.S. state laws, and we treat them accordingly:
- We use your recordings and voice profile only to provide the cloning and speech-generation features you request — never for advertising.
- You may only clone your own voice, or another person’s voice with their documented permission, as required by our Terms. By submitting a recording, you confirm and consent to this processing.
- You can delete a cloned voice at any time from your account, which removes the voice profile from the Service; associated source recordings are deleted as described in Section 6.
Usage and device information.
When you use the Service we automatically collect your IP address, approximate location derived from it, browser and device type, operating system, device identifiers, the pages and features you use, and timestamps and diagnostic data. If you arrive from an advertisement or referral link, we also record attribution data such as the referring page, campaign parameters (e.g. UTM tags), and ad click identifiers, so we can measure our marketing.
Communications.
We keep the support requests, feedback, and survey responses you send us, including emails to our support address.
3. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use three categories of cookies and similar technologies:
- Essential cookies — used to keep you signed in, secure your session, and remember choices such as your cookie preferences. The Service does not work without them.
- Analytics cookies — we use Google Analytics to understand how the website and Service are used so we can improve them.
- Advertising cookies — we use Google advertising tags to measure ad conversions and to show ads for Unmixr on third-party sites to people who have visited our site (remarketing).
If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, analytics and advertising cookies are off by default and are only enabled if you accept them through our cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time by clearing the site’s cookies (which will show the banner again) or by contacting us at support@unmixr.com.
Do Not Track: our Service does not currently respond to “Do Not Track” browser signals. See Section 10 for the advertising opt-out choices we do provide.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the information described above for the following purposes. Where GDPR applies, the legal basis for each purpose is noted in italics.
- To provide the Service: create and manage your account, process your content into the outputs you request, store your projects, and deliver your exports. Performance of a contract.
- To process voice recordings for voice cloning. Your explicit consent.
- To bill you: manage subscriptions, credits, invoices, payment recovery, and fraud and abuse prevention (including detecting account sharing and payment fraud). Performance of a contract; legitimate interests.
- To support you: respond to your requests and notify you of changes to the Service or your account, including renewal and expiration notices. Performance of a contract; legitimate interests.
- To improve the Service: analyze usage, diagnose technical problems, and develop features. Legitimate interests.
- To market Unmixr: send you newsletters, product updates, and offers (you can unsubscribe from every such email), and measure our advertising. Legitimate interests; consent where required.
- To comply with law: keep records we are legally required to keep, respond to lawful requests, and enforce our Terms. Legal obligation; legitimate interests.
We do not use your content or your voice data to train AI models, and we do not use automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects about you.
5. AI Processing of Your Content
To generate speech, dubbing, transcripts, and translations, your content (text, audio, video, and voice recordings) is processed by third-party AI and cloud service providers acting on our behalf. These providers process your content solely to produce the output you request and are contractually restricted from using it for their own purposes. Some of this processing occurs on servers in the United States.
6. Data Retention
We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active and as needed for the purposes above, then delete or de-identify it, except where we must keep it longer to comply with legal obligations (for example, tax and accounting records), resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.
Specific retention rules for content:
- Generated text-to-speech audio files: deleted automatically two years after creation.
- Dubbing files: deleted automatically one year after creation.
- Cloned voice profiles and their source recordings: kept until you delete the voice or your account.
- Other content (text, documents, images, translations, transcripts): kept until you delete it or your account.
When you delete content or your account, it is removed from the live Service promptly and from backups within a limited period thereafter. Usage data is generally retained for a shorter period unless needed for security or legal reasons.
7. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only as follows:
- Cloud hosting and infrastructure — the Service runs on Amazon Web Services in the United States, which stores our data and delivers our files and emails.
- AI processing providers — as described in Section 5, to generate the outputs you request.
- Payment processors — Stripe for card payments; bKash for payments in Bangladesh; AppSumo for marketplace purchases. Each processes your payment data under its own privacy policy and, for card networks, PCI-DSS standards.
- Analytics and advertising — Google, through the cookies described in Section 3, subject to your consent choices.
- Legal requirements — if required by law or a valid request from public authorities, or where disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Unmixr, our users, or others.
- Business transfers — if Unmixr is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your data may be transferred; we will notify you before your data becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
- With your consent — in any other case we describe to you at the time.
Service providers may access personal data only to perform work on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose it or use it for other purposes.
8. International Data Transfers
We are a U.S. company and process data in the United States. If you use the Service from outside the United States, your information — including personal data — is transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those of your jurisdiction.
Where we transfer personal data from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we rely on appropriate safeguards, including Standard Contractual Clauses in our agreements with service providers and, where applicable, providers certified under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
9. Your Rights Under the GDPR (EEA, UK, and Switzerland)
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected;
- have your data erased;
- restrict or object to our processing, including objecting to direct marketing at any time;
- receive a copy of data you provided in a structured, machine-readable format (data portability);
- withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent (such as voice cloning and non-essential cookies), without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal.
To exercise these rights, email support@unmixr.com. We may ask you to verify your identity, and we respond within one month (extendable where the law allows for complex requests). Some data is necessary to provide the Service; deleting it may mean we can no longer serve you.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority in the EEA, with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) in the UK, or with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner in Switzerland.
10. Your U.S. State Privacy Rights (including California)
If you live in California or another U.S. state with a comprehensive privacy law (such as Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, or Texas), you have the right, subject to the conditions of your state’s law, to:
- know and access the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources, purposes, and the categories of third parties we share it with;
- delete your personal information;
- correct inaccurate personal information;
- receive a portable copy of your personal information;
- opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information and of targeted advertising;
- limit the use of sensitive personal information (we already use sensitive data, such as voice recordings, only to provide the features you request);
- not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.
Sale and sharing: we do not sell personal information for money. However, our use of advertising cookies (Section 3) may be considered “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law. You can opt out of this by declining or disabling advertising cookies as described in Section 3, or by emailing support@unmixr.com with the subject “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information”.
To exercise any of these rights, email support@unmixr.com. We will verify your identity before responding and will respond within 45 days (extendable once where the law allows). You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf; we will ask the agent for proof of authorization. If we decline a request and your state provides an appeal right, you may appeal by replying to our decision, and we will respond within your state’s required timeframe.
CalOPPA: you can visit our public website without registering; our Privacy Policy link is on every page footer; we will notify you of changes as described in Section 13; and you can request changes to your personal information at support@unmixr.com.
11. Security of Data
We protect your data with measures including encryption in transit (TLS), hashed password storage, access controls that limit which personnel and systems can reach personal data, and isolation of production systems. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security; if a breach affecting your personal data occurs, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by applicable law.
12. Children’s Privacy
The Service is not intended for anyone under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us at support@unmixr.com and we will delete it.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and update the “Last Modified” date above. For material changes, we will also notify you by email or by a prominent notice in the Service before the change takes effect.
