Voice Design, casting with @, and a smarter Voice Library
Two weeks of shipping: design a brand-new voice from a description, switch voices mid-script with @, find the right voice by what you're making, and a long list of studio fixes you asked for.
- Voice Design: Describe the voice you want—age, tone, accent, energy—and audition four takes. Pick one, hear it confirm through the finished model, then name it and save it to your library like any other voice.
- Character Library: A ready-made cast of tuned characters with portraits and samples, available in My Characters, Quick Voiceover, Narration Studio, and Dubbing Studio. They never count against your character slots.
- Cast multiple voices with @: Type @Name anywhere in a Quick Voiceover script to switch voices from that point on. A cast strip shows who is speaking and what each voice costs, every cast member gets its own delivery settings, and example dialogues arrive already cast.
- Text scenes in Scene Studio: Add a text-only scene from 14 templates—titles, story text, quotes, key points, big numbers, certificates, end cards, and calls to action—then style it with 60 fonts, colour, gradient or image backgrounds, frames, and shadows. It renders straight into your video export.
- Translate scripts word for word: Translate a whole script or a single block in Quick Voiceover and Narration Studio—words translated, nothing rewritten—with one-click undo and an automatic voice swap when your voice can't speak the new language.
- Find the right voice faster: Filter the Voice Library by what you're making—narration, audiobooks, e-learning, ads, gaming, and more—see “Best for” tags on every card, and paste a voice ID to jump straight to a voice.
- Continuous playback in Narration Studio: One player at the bottom of the studio plays every generated block in order with previous, next, and scrubbing—so you can hear a whole script end to end, including on your phone.
- Import Script takes documents: Bring in PDF, Word, EPUB, HTML, SRT, and VTT files; use quick-insert buttons for sections, speakers, pauses, and styles; and see a live summary of blocks, words, and runtime before you import.
- Redesigned creation wizards: Every Create flow now shows your progress at a glance, keeps completed steps collapsed for quick edits, and works comfortably on mobile.
- Pick the slides and sections you want: Long decks and documents now let you choose exactly which slides or sections to narrate. Pro and Studio plans can render up to 124 slides in a single job.
- Use my script exactly as written: A checkbox on Story, Dialogue, and Course projects that skips the AI rewrite—your words stay exactly as typed while the voice still gets its performance direction.
- WAV export and in-place downloads: Projects can export a lossless WAV alongside the MP3, Quick Voiceover lets you choose MP3 or WAV, and downloads now save straight to your device instead of opening a new tab.
- Scene Studio fixes: Video clips placed on a scene keep their sound in the export, playback always runs the full timeline from the playhead, and the side panel no longer jumps back to Settings.
- Pronunciation library fixes: Entries with apostrophes, hyphens, or spaces—like “You've”, “real-time”, or “New York”—now apply correctly, and one entry no longer rewrites another.
- Dubbing Studio: Character portraits now appear on speakers and segments, library characters can be assigned to any speaker, and speaker rows show the voice that will actually speak.
- Record transcriptions in Safari: The browser recorder now works in Safari and adds pause and resume, a microphone picker, a live level meter, and a review step before upload.
- Account and email: Change your account email from Settings with a confirmation sent to the new address, show or hide passwords on sign-in, and a clearer email confirmation flow with a resend option.
- Trials start with 20,000 credits: Every 7-day trial now comes with 20,000 credits—double the previous amount.
- What's new, in the app: This page. A What's new entry in the sidebar lists every release, with a dot whenever something shipped since you last looked.
